The assistant asked the blonde if she would like her pizza cut into six pieces or twelve.
"Six please" she said, "I could never eat twelve!"
But you gotta wonder, could there be some truth in the saying "blondes have more fun"?
Sure I'm Mexican with dark brown hair but that's nothing a hair salon can't change for the reasonable price of $75. I know, a deal! I have the most awesome hair stylist. My own little best kept secret. For an endeavor like this one the real important thing is timing. You have to be able to commit. Me... I'm single, no kids, no prospects of either to be honest, its a perfect time to test the theory. Lucky for me my skin tone is forgiving and can pretty much handle any hair color. So here we go... Tada!
Don't mind the dark eyebrows. Those were fixed later.
The evil plan: go about my usual life. Work and play. And see what I've been missing as a brunette. [evil laugh] Ok, its not an evil plan, its just a plan. Two months later I'm at the salon ready to go brunette again. There was some learning though. The most important things I discovered in my blonde phase, are: 1) If you're going to test a theory like this one, you really need to have a more interesting social life. 2) Make sure your eyebrows match your hair. 3) If you're meant to get a traffic citation, you're meant to get a traffic citation. Blonde hair or no blonde hair. Crying or no crying. And finally, if you had a lot of fun while being blonde, maybe it was just an awesome concert, and your hair color was irrelevant. Oh oh oh! And a warning: you might have to embrace your inner chola when those roots come out (Unless you can afford the salon visits. Which if I could afford would defeat the whole purpose of this blog.). Up-keep is expensive.
Rest in peace blonde hair. Its something unpredictable but in the end its right.
